Dear members of the angry mob,
Over the past months, The World According To ME has been observing your activities with great interest. As you have stood, united in your cause, standing shoulder to shoulder with your fellow men, I have never been more confident that the whole is never equal to the sum of its parts. In fact it is not equal to the sum of one part. Collectively you have displayed intelligence no greater than the last lemming to jump off a cliff after all its brethren have lept.
Don’t get me wrong. Individually, you may be top notch. You may be gentle folk who are savvy to the ways of the world. Like the good kid who starts to get bad grades when they hang out with the wrong crowd, you may have just lost your way. You may be dumb by association, or suffer from temporary dumbness. You may have a treatable version of dumb rather than a chronic dumb.
It is with this hope, and with temporary absence of that guy in the bud hat sporting a “Obama eats puppies and washes them down with kittens” placard, that The World According To ME offers you a few immutable facts to help you determine whether you are running with a smart angry mob or a dumb angry mob.
Fact 1: There is no such thing as a smart angry mob
Do you get the sense that most of the people around you would not be able to provide an intelligent answer if asked why they are assembled? And that those remaining would have vastly different answers from one to the next? Chances are you are in an angry, directionless mob and your IQ has already dropped by 20 points. You should work your way out of the crowd immediately. Still not sure? Look at the signs that are being carried around…do they make any sense? Have they been checked for spelling? We didn’t think so.
Fact 2: However bad the politician or the policy, remember that Nazis were really bad.
So Nazis were bad asses, and they exterminated 10 million jews, homosexuals and handicapped people during something called World War II. They also sometimes made housewares like lamps out of parts of the dead, all while trying to conquer Europe. They were really evil, not evil lite.
If you are in a crowd that starts to say that such and such is a Nazi policy, and so and so is a Nazi, it is nearly certain you are in an angry mob, and you should get the hell out… Because you know who loved angry mobs? The Nazis…that’s who.
Fact 3: It is not expedient for a politician to support anything that sounds like part of a Twilight Zone plot line.
Generally, politicians have a concern about being re-elected, and this concern is with them from day one of their first term. Policies that involve feeding the electorate to aliens, keeping the citizenry in human zoos or subverting the political system (ok, there is this guy) are not in their best interest. Neither is something like a “Death Panel”.
If you are in a crowd and a very serious discussion erupts over the faked moon landing, chances are that the crowd will also be open to other crackpot theories du jour. You are in a nascent angry mob. Get the hell out.
Fact 4: Canada can’t be to blame for everything…
Everyone knows that Canada is inherently evil, with their cuddly beavers and their insane notions about universal healthcare…at least everyone seems to know that in the crowd you are in. You are either in a South Park movie or the makings of an angry mob. No sudden movements, but kindly exit stage right.
Fact 5: The louder political pundits support the angrier mobs
Many angry political pundits follow mobs like some people follow stocks, and they love volatility. If angry white guys were an exchange traded fund, then the biggest shareholders would be Bill O’Reilly, Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh.
Choosing a rally to attend based on a pundit’s recommendation is like asking a pharmaceutical company what drugs you should be taking. You should know that they will recommend what is in their interests…don’t get upset when that third arm sprouts up or when your appendages begin to change color.
These are just a few rules of thumb to heed so you can avoid being caught up in something that sane Americans will shake their heads at. Of course, you can always ignore these rules and have the exclusive opportunity to hang out with these teabaggers who think it's OK to 'Joe Wilson' a CNN reporter:
.

These angry mobs of morons can suck my dick, and I'm female.
Ahh, the 'support Joe Wilson' mob... I think if you did a head count, you'd have the grand total. Fucking dumbasses.
Doc commented yesterday near the end of the comments. Knowing how scathing his satire can be, you should check it out 'cause it's funny as hell.
So, today's blog. Also satirical and funny as hell, until you watch the video of an actual angry mob... these people are the lowest common denominator of loud, obnoxious, and ignorant repubs. They can all go suck Joe Wilson's dick as far as I'm concerned.
I'm sure they're all lining up outside his airport bathroom stall...
How many times must the right destroy America before Joe Stupid the Average Real American learns their lesson? None, because Fox will spin it.
Oh I dunno. These 'angry American citizens' couldn't manage to get McCain/Palin elected. And as far as I can tell, they're a loud, ignorant minority with Glenn Beck as their central focus.
So I wouldn't sweat it. It's 'Microwave Conservatives', the dumbasses who believe the last eight years of Republican fuck-ups can be fixed in sixty seconds.
Topics only wingnuts care about
1.) Chappaquiddick
2.) Van Jones
3.) Nancy Pelosi
4.) Death Panels
5.) FREEMARKET!!!
6.) No Taxes
7.) Birth Certificate
8.) Gay Ice Cream
Interesting that a significant number of people who oppose a public health care option either are on medicare, or soon will be, and you and I are paying for it.
They'll fight tooth and nail to protect their own government subsidized health care, but they'll fight just as hard to make sure the rest of us don't receive it.
that about sums it up.
the boomers got theirs, but they'll be damned if you get yours.
From where I'm sitting, if Obama loses in 2012 (highly unlikely), it's largely because Americans, in or out of the angry mobs, by then will have forgotten how incredibly bad Republicans are at running the government.
I think the protesters that are loud and disruptive in their mobs are just like my little grandbabies when they have a temper tantrum. Should we just turn our heads and ignore them until they get tired of their own noises?
In my experience I found the most effective way to deal with attention-getting temper tantrums was to ignore them. But unfortunately there are a lot of people who want to be on the winning side, so they watch others to find out what they should think and believe. Given the impression that these people speak for the majority, they do the lemming march right along behind them, believing everything they say without taking a moment to double check to find out if what they hear are facts or rhetoric. But, boy, if you think it's tiring dealing with a child having a temper tantrum . . . try dealing with adults who do it!!
However, it is sad to realize that they have been duped by the faces of the health insurance industry (Joe Wilson, repubs, and blue dog dems) and they honestly think they are being patriotic..
And where are they getting the nonsense that those of us with health coverage like our plans. Let me give you the truth from an average citizen.. Yes I have health coverage but No, I am not happy with it. It takes a big chunk out of my paycheck (I have a family of four that I am covering) and we have a high deductible where I have to have a savings account just to pay any deductible. I am not crazy about it. I preferred the HMO I had last year where I only had a co pay of $20 but my company did away with that option.
In my humble opinion, I think a single payer system would be best but that won't happen due to the hold the insurance companies have on Washington.
solution for angry mobs: Pepper spray
30 States = BLUE
4 States = RED

There must be some video out there of all the convoys of buses showing up at these meetings.
All this over healthcare reform??!?? There is obviously something deeper. Their are all of a sudden concerned about our government overspending. Are they kidding? There is no other explanation other than they are seriously mentally impaired.
After 8 years of war. Thousands of our troops dead, maimed, trillions of dollars going to rebuild another country, and they are hooting and marching over healthcare reform??!?? COMPLETE NONSENSE!!
It's scary knowing that there is so much ignorance.
Poor white mobs bussed in to make trouble. The latest GOP tactic.
Just like the people they had bussed in for McCain rallies. Faux outrage.
What are these people getting in return? A free meal? They're selling their souls for a sandwich.
I doubt anyone who is willing to be called a Rushpublcian has one to sell.
Demonstrators denied that they were working for corporate lobbyists. "Just sign our time sheets so we can go," one told his Congressman.
What a nice group the GOP is, they bus in people to disrupt town halls, and then yell about freedom of speech, drowning out a CNN reporter! Only in America!
It's sad that the MSM are too incompetent to actually expose these cons and the WH has to go out of its way to defend itself.
It's not "incompetence"...
it's that they are actually on the side of the Rushpublicans, and Fox is leading the charge.
That's because the MSM is OWNED & RUN by neocons, yermammy, it's not just Fox. Here is a brief list of what they own:
CBS CORPORATION - is headed by perennial Bush ally Sumner Redstone, who is also CEO of Viacom. Viacom owns Paramount Pictures, BET, Comedy Central, CMT, TNN, Spike TV, The Movie Channel, MTV, VH1, and Nickelodeon. CBS Corporation is one of the two owners of the CW network (the other is Time Warner).
NBC, CNBC, and MSNBC - are all owned by perennial war profiteer General Electric. They also own the following cable channels: Bravo, Oxygen, SciFi, The Weather Channel, and USA network. They also own Universal Studios.
FOX - is owned by News Corporation. Its chairman is Rupert Murdoch (aka “Herr Goebbels”). Here is a brief listing of what Murdoch owns:
All "Fox" outlets
FX Channel
Blue Sky Studios
National Geographic Channel
STAR
SKY network
HarperCollins books (publisher of Ralph Nader’s book “The Good Fight”)
20th Century Fox studios
TV Guide
MyNetwork TV
Speed Channel
New York Post
MySpace.com
The Weekly Standard
Wall St. Journal
ABC - is owned by Disney. They also own ESPN, Miramax Films, Touchstone Pictures, and they own 50% of Lifetime Entertainment Services.
CNN, where doc's video is from - is owned by Time Warner, the BIGGEST of the "Big Six" media conglomerates. They also own Fortune magazine, Court TV, MovieTickets.com, TBS, AOL, HBO, and Time magazine (duh!).
Bypass the MSM. That's what needs to be done, as they won't tell the truth even if they are smacked across the face with it. There are only a few exceptions.

Somebody on MSNBC suggested yesterday that the Senators start their town-hall meetings with people on stage telling their own, insurance nightmare stories. Put a child up on stage in a wheelchair that didn't get the needed surgery because some corporate insurance co. turned them down.
Leave them on stage and let these loudmouth hicks that don't understand yell at them too... if any of these people have the slightest bit of humanity left in them - perhaps this will help them think twice.
Da*mn. You beat me to it. I heard that too and thought it was a great idea.
It was Eugene Robinson's suggestion to put REAL people, the victims of our current health care insurance corps, on stage to tell their story. What are those bought-and-paid-for hacks gonna do? Shout them down too?
D!ck Armey's lobbying group pays for and buses in mobs to wreak enough havoc so proponents of health insurance reform aren't heard.
You don't think this brand of lunatic is above yelling at and bashing a child... even a child in a wheelchair? Even a child who is visibly undergoing chemo?
You have more faith in the lunatic fringe right than I do. Not a good group to put any faith in, by the way.
I too heard that and it is a brilliant idea. If these right wing extremists can shout down sick people telling their stories and their reasons for wanting and needing true healthcare reform, then they will show the American people who they truly are.
Photograph them, and compare pictures from all events. When the same faces show up at more than one rally, publish their faces and get their names. If they are brave enough to attack the President, they are brave enough to be named in public for their beliefs. We cannot allow the rational/sane/educated populace to be hijacked by the rabid ignorant.
I think that is just what will end up happening. News networks need to put people in the meeting and follow these right wing extremist see who they are with see who is paying them to be there and giving them the scripts to say. These people need to be exposed for who and what they are.
you're giving the media too much credit. Don't forget what the wise one said earlier... the media are bought and paid for by the neocons.
Well there aren't any minorities in the GOP at these mob gatherings, so the logical conclusion would be angry poor white people being bused in, OR maybe they really are actors paid and trained by the Insurance Lobby to look like angry poor white folks.
The insurance lobbies make the signs too, deliberately misspelling words to make the signs look authentic.
Yeah, hey, I want the PUBIC option, none of this airbrushing pubes out of pics!
LOL doc did find a great pic. Someone's either a moron or got set up to look like one.
These camera ideas are really, really, really smart. Videos, photographs, cameras, cell phones - everyone just start taking pictures of them when they stand up and start to riot. Right in their faces! Then download them on YouTube. Millions of them!
get some facial recognition software so we can take names and kick asses.
Exactly. It worked well against the first teabaggers. Show them as they truly are. The rallies they held on July 4th were miniscule. F0X didn't even try to promote it (as they did with the first event). I guess they didn't like being laughed at.......
The angry white mobs of old people at these town hall meeting are just yearning for the past and their youth.
It's all part of the mindset of the Conservatives and Libertarians.
The sense of loss.
They're taking their mistakes, wasted years and unrealized potential out on Barack Obama.
The sad thing is...the Tea Baggers at these town hall meetings always yap about what "patriots" they are.
Too bad they can never prove it.
This would explain how they managed to sell all the white pillow-cases at the Birmingham Walmart.
The tea baggers can't get away from their nuts.
AWESOME COMMENT!!!
This reminds me of the GOP street thug tactics during the 2000 recount in Florida.
Yes, these people appear to be paid operatives, not authentic protesters. This Daily Show clip demonstrates how the words shouted by one woman at a town hall meeting are virtually identical to the Republican talking points repeated incessantly on Fox News:
http://www.thedailyshow.com/watch/mon-august-3-2009/master-rebators---the-crank-cycle.
They should check IDs and ONLY ALLOW PEOPLE FROM WITHIN THE DISTRICT to enter the town hall meetings. These are professional disrupters hired by the insurance MAFIA who are following Dick Head Armey's talking points.
Economist Art Laffer appeared on MSNBC this morning and used the same misinformation we hear from the GOP. Then, someone from the Washington Post pointed out his falsehoods. The best was when Laffer talked about the "bill", only for the person from the Washington Post to point out there is no "bill" yet. There are 4 mostly finished up, and another to go, none of which have been reconciled, sent to the senate for approval, signed by the prez, etc.
Laffer wants doctors to not treat everyone, only those with money.
I loved it when Laffer said only Doctors can administer shots. Hasn't he ever been to a grocery store during flu vaccine season?
Laffer ridiculed medicare and thought government shouldn't be involved in health care.
Truth is the GOP is opposed to "socialized" medicine. The GOP is the one trying to take medicare away from our parents and grandparents.
that is why they created the ripoffs from the private sector, Medicare Advantage and Med part D
(but they have their ignorant senior following who don't realize things need drastic reforming, which would help them if they could but see it.)
Yeah, with the HUGE DOUGHNUT HOLE right in the middle at present.
That has GOT to go!!!
It is real easy to counter these 'mobs' since Obama can go to his organizing roots, get ACORN, SEIU and a multitude of paid demonstrators to protest against American values.
yawn....is that what Rush told you to say?
Have you every asked yourself what is it with ACORN? Do you understand the idea of scapegoating?
Since when do we demonize community organizing? I know Sarah Palin sneered at it but come on, do you really feel that way?
What about 4H, the Scouts, food banks, Toys for Tots, etc. etc.? Are they all conspiracies? Please ask yourself some hard questions and check out your biases.
Your notions are, quite frankly, ridiculous. You may be singing but you aren't all that awake.
American values? you mean those values the rightwing has of bias, fear mongering, greed, hate, selfishness etc?
And don't forget adultery, war crimes, closeted homosexuality and pederasty. Those are all values tightly held by the far right.
Smart strategy on the part of Obama actually, making the extreme lunatic wackos the face of the opposition, absolutely brilliant!
The majority of the GOP is allowing it because they don't have anything original of their own to put forward, other than obstructionism, and they can't publically contradict the looneys for fear that doing so would make their party look weak and divided.
And it's just another day in Southern Wingnuttia.
lol Sums it up! lol
Here in America, the Republican party always opposes what President Obama does.
They do it when he agrees with them.
They do it when he follows through on something President Bush started.
If President Obama came out in favor of torture and the Iraq war, the Republicans would oppose those things too.
Hmmm... let's give some serious thought to that last one...... LOL
the more desperate they are, the more they spin and lie.
It's the sound of the GOP's fingernails scraping on the cliff's edge.
ABC Rejects Tea Party Organizers' Attendance Claims
Conservative activists, who organized a march on the U.S. Capitol Saturday in protest of the Obama administration's health care agenda and government spending, erroneously attributed reports on the size of the crowds to ABC News.
ABC: 60,000-70,000, Not 1.5M as the Teabaggers claimed.
http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/protest-crowd-size-estimate-falsely-attributed-abc-news/story?id=8558055
I *KNEW* there weren't 1.5 million Americans willing to participate in this, like Republican strategists are claiming. There is no way.
TRUST ME THE REAL NUMBERS HAVE COME OUT.. it's very sad that the GOP have to inflate their numbers... who do they think they are fooling?
i guess they like lying to themselves it makes them feel better.. and 60,000 people when you had a whole network Fox news promoting this event for NINE FUCKING MONTHS, and this is all they could get. Fox news is always bragging about their 4.million viewers... now what does that tell you ...
smoke and mirrors.. total irrelevancy..
why does it matter?
Because it shows that to be relevant they continue to tell falsehoods and try to make people think they are more relevant then they are.
It matters to them, which is why they lied about the number in the first place.
it's important because every single move and lie these people make is designed to send out a wave to pick up more weak minds in their wake. not one lie can be allowed to get through. every single thing they say has to be countered with the truth.
it obvious it matters because they had to LIE ABOUT IT.. i find it hilarious.. because they lied about the crowds during the general election, the numbers at McCain rallies, at Palin rallies, but the truth came out and bit them in the ass, thanks to the police and fire depts who always make headcounts at these things.. the GOP is a dead party of fools..
Because they lie too often. Every lie they tell should be refuted so that they can't grow any larger than they already are. The lies are dangerous if allowed to fester. Remember all the lies of the past eight years and where they got us!
I was there. It was kinda big, but really, more people come for the July 4th fireworks. Once they'd marched down Pennsylvania Ave, they all fit within the Capitol west lawn to 3rd St.
If there's only about 70,000 bigots left in America, then Wow. We HAVE overcome, haven't we? LOL
Is this a surprise? Of course, now that the lie has been stated, we'll have to listen to it repeated ad infinititum, including by people who know better.
Oh some won't repeat it. What they will do though is "so much better". *eye roll*
They will say - I can just hear CNN - "There were questions regarding the attendance at Saturdays tea party of 140 kazillion billion. How do you feel about this (artificially created) controversy?"
Instead of "60,000 attended the rally. The organizers lied and used ABC to spread it and got caught. How do you feel about that lie and is this now a pattern with these events?"
Yes, what a 'huge' turnout to protest the so-called destruction of the country or whatever.
My university alma mater gets more people at our spring football scrimmage.
That's not a lot of people (50-60 thousand) for an important football game. I think there have been more than that number at an UVA vs. VA Tech game before, and we're not even one of the bigger football states.
The sister of a man with whom my husband works rode on a bus from Houston, TX for this teabagger thing. Her brother bragged that the bus ride, two night hotel stay and their food costs were being underwritten by someone. An insurance company, no doubt.
The story the MSM should follow is the money trail for this little gathering, and how many employees of insurance companies were there.
What did the squirrel shout out to the teabaggers protesting in DC?
Now I know where I left all my NUTS!
Good one! LMAO!!! much improved from your earlier one ('The tea baggers can't get away from their nuts.')
Most of these people couldn't pass a 7th-grade basic math class. No way I'm going to trust their head count. "Thar wuz elventy-seven-million peeples thar!"
lol
some have a hard time counting to 21 without opening their zipper...
Desperation = a conservative republican.
Thank goodness the truth got out! It was clear from the news footage the crowd wasn't enormous!
Remember the crowd President Obama drew on the campaign trail in St Louis last fall? Google it. Talk about impressive!
I am bad at math. I mean like I'm really pathetic. I count on my fingers. (Don't tell.)
But what is the percentage they lied? 60,000 stretched to 1.5 million.
2,300%
Wow. They told a whopper.
using 60K versus the claimed 1.5M
60K is 1/25th of 1.5M.
so their published attendance is 25x, or 2,500% of reality.
Here is another way of looking at it.
(1,500,000-60,000)/60,000*100 = 2400% or 24 times the correct amount.
Maybe they expected 1,000,000 tea bags and 60,000 teabaggers. Something could have been lost in the translation. Speaking in tongues can be confusing.
lol

LIES LIES LIES the only thing the repubs seem to have any talent for.
Doesn't take much talent to lie. You just say any shit and see how many assholes are gullible enough to buy it:
"I'm a Loud Lemming - follow me NOW or you'll DIE!"
"yep", "wow", "sure", "okay", "coming", "help me", "oh dear", "if you say so", "what cliff? - I don't see aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh..." (*60,000 splashes*)
ROTFLMAO!!
LOL!!!
LMFAO
Right on the money LOL!!!
What? Right wing wingnuts lie? Contact the Media!
Don't. That's who they lie to and through.
I went to a rally for Obama in Denver that was much larger than what they showed today. I kept thinking that couldn't be correct. People who watch FOX will be happy to hear that "millions" of people were there, since we know they'll never get the correct numbers.
No surprise there. They are famous for making things up, twisting the truth to their liking, exaggerating, and then putting it all out there like it was fact.
Fox facts....whatever we say, because we are allowed to lie (but we don't have to tell you that's what we're doing)
Good.
Let the rightwing be surprised as to their actual numbers November 2010.
Works for me.
Great point!
the problem is that the numbers can be verified......they thought they could put out misinformation and people would believe it
These are the people who think Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck are honest. Not exactly great fact checkers.
The DC police and other officials said the crowd was estimated at 50 to 60,000, somewhere in there, no more.
the public officials are being kind, and as cops, most likely are republicans themselves.
i saw that crowd and it was 35K tops.
On the same day that there were 60,000 in Washington DC saying that the world is going to end, there were 106,000 here at Ohio Stadium enjoying a college football game.
I wish that all of those protesting what they see as big government would give up their governmental benefits.....
infrastructure, fire and police services, benefits provided by the military, public education, social security, medicare, civil liberties (eg. free speech), food and drug safety regulation, border protection, water and electrical provisions etc.
People don't understand the role of government, and how it personally affects them.
We saw what the Bush administration's deregulation policies did to the banking industry. They are closed minded, can't comprehend reason, logic......to their own peril.
Sorry for your loss. All my love and prayers for you and yours. Take all the time you need, doc.
I'm so sorry for your loss. My deepest sympathy. I will be thinking of you at this tragic time. We had a significant death in our family not that long ago.
love to you and Buffy and your family doc. Lots of prayers coming your way.
Whom the heart of man shuts out, Sometimes the heart of God takes in, And fences them all round about,
With silence ‘mid the world’s loud din
What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.
Life is eternal, and love is immortal, and death is only a horizon; and a horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight.

Very sorry for your loss. Whenever you're ready to blog again, we'll be here for you.
condolences to you and yours, doc.
One day at a time.....
Buffy and I are grateful for all your condolences.
Ever hear the expression "the operation was a success, but the patient died"?
Buffy's brother had a tumor successfully removed from his heart while he was on a heart-lung bypass, but after the operation, his heart wouldn't start up, even though a team of doctors massaged his heart manually for eight hours.
The wake is this Monday, and the Funeral is on Tuesday. Shortly after that I should be able to get the blog up and running. Thanks again for your support.
You're welcome doc. Hang in there.
May your strength prevail to help you and Buffy through this difficult time.
My heartfelt condolences go out to you, Buffy, and your families.
I'll bet Buffy's brother is hand wrestling with Patrick Swayze in heaven.
I can't imagine the sadness you both must be feeling from your loss.
We all have a journey and leaving life behind is an honor.
I saw the numbers going up on the blogpage, so obviously this is where the action is. Can't tell you how sorry I am for Buffy and yourself. I'll be checking back here for more comments, and for the next blog.
May the good memories shared with Buffy's brother comfort you now and in the days ahead.
May you have good memories for comfort, friends for their support and smiles to ease your sorrow.
im very sorry to doc and buffy.
I hope you guys know that your life has not ended, just changed. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
We never lose the people we love. They live with us in our hearts for the rest of our lives until we meet again.
May you take comfort in knowing there is one more angel above us.
What a beautiful thought, Gustavsaves
Something told me to check doc's blog again - nothing new except the comments on his OPEN LETTER TO THE ANGRY MOB were up to 140! Really feel sorry for Buffy; lost my brother to lung cancer a year ago, and nothing's the same without him here to talk with (so I talk with him in my thoughts, keeping his memory alive as long as I live) :(
A death in the family can change all the family dynamics. Love and support each other, not just through the calling hours and funeral, but forever afterward, because though you are one member less, you are still a family.
May the memories of Buffy's brother and the love of family surround you and give you strength in the days ahead.
Please accept my deepest
sympathy for the loss of your
brother/ brother-in-law
I know we never lose the people we love. They live the rest of our lives with us in our heart.
Sad times. Patrick Swayze, Buffy's brother, and just yesterday Mary Travers of Peter, Paul and Mary passed away of leukemia at age 72.
Henry Gibson of Laugh In and a judge on Boston Legal died Monday of cancer, age 73
May you take comfort in knowing a new angel is watching over you.
Buffy - You have my deepest sympathies on the death of your brother.
What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, you may not understand why he left this earth so soon, or why he left before you were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, you begin to remember not just that he died, but that he lived. And that his life gives you memories too beautiful to forget.
With heartfelt condolences
I am sorry for your loss
My thoughts and prayers are with you
I can only imagine how difficult this time is for you both. I'm very sorry for the loss of your brother.
You will survive. You will heal, even if you cannot believe that now, just know that it is true. To feel pain after loss is normal. It proves that we are alive, human. I am sorry for your loss, and am just getting over mine.
Doc and Buffy - may you find strength and comfort in each other in this difficult time.
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep
I am a 1,000 winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow
I am the sun on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled light
I am the soft star that shines at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there; I did not die.
Geez, lyrical, you got me all weepy...
May you find peace and love in the memories of your brother that you cherish.
While we are mourning the loss of our friend, others are rejoicing to meet him behind the veil.

It doesn’t ‘get better,’ It just gets different.
Everyday grief puts on a new face...
I really feel for you and hope you both get some comfort soon.
Just as you have been for us, we are always here for you.
May your heart and soul find peace and comfort
May you find peace and love in the memories you cherish.

They walk beside us everyday,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.
May the love of those around you help you through the days ahead.
I wish you hope in the midst of sorrow, comfort in the midst of pain.
- Jacob Von Hogflume
I know that at a time like this, there are no words that will bring him back for you, which is what you really want. All I can say is keep him in your heart until you are reunited with him and those who have gone before.
My condolences to family and friends.
Patrick Swayze will be on The View today, but only Whoopi can see or talk to him.
Very sorry for your loss, doc & buffy
lol
sorry for your loss buffy and doc.
My brother-in-law's wake/calling hours were today; funeral services and internment are tomorrow, with family get-togethers after. Doesn't look like I'll be blogging any time soon, but then nothing's happening anyway, right?
Right. Take your time doc. We'll be checking back daily. We're here for you.
