WELCOME TO DR. B.'S WORLD

This new white format allows me to post complete pics (the other Blogger formats cut them off, practically in half). Pretend you're reading your newspaper or something.

Dates separate each post, barely, so look for the dates on the left. Print is large & readable. Comment section is unchanged. My Profile info was at the bottom, but I moved it back to the top. Deal with it.

[Disclaimer: Pursuant to the UCC (Uniform Comedy Code), all depictions of events and persons on this site are more real than reality itself, and therefore any resemblance to reality is not really real.]

Unbalanced. Unfair. I report. I decide.

ABANDON HOPE ALL YE WHO ENTER HERE. If you have already abandoned hope, please disregard this notice. In this blog, you'll be exposed to the way I see things. Lots of things. Stuff I think of. Things that happen. Random weirdness. Occasional seriousness. My life. My world. My universe. My reality. By reading this, you have given me brief control of your mind....

The bailout represents the second and final payment by the Bush administration to their benefactors. The war being the first.

This bailout is as if someone blew up a meth lab and insisted he collect on his homeowners policy.

Wall Street is dead. Long live Wall Street.

How much would Mexico pay for Texas?

probably more than it's worth... unless you're talking kitsch value.

Many, many years ago, Mel Brooks commented about selling the United States. "Sell it to Japan, they're going to get it anyway!"

now they can expand the list to China, Saudi Arabia, etc.

What we need to realize is that yes, the 'bailout plan' was necessary in the way that it's necessary to give your wallet to the mugger in the alley at three in the morning. You just do it. He still might kill you. He probably will still beat the crap out of you, but you have to comply.

I've got a suggestion that's been on my mind since this whole "bailout" mess started: Why haven't the Wall Street execs who were paid billions of dollars in "bonuses" been forced to repay those, as they obviously failed to earn anything but a well-deserved jail sentence? That would've at least put a nice dent in the $700 BILLION that the taxpayers are now stuck with.

Bend over and smile, America...

What is it that we have been told that has reassured us that we are not being sold the same bill of good we were served during the run up to Iraq?

This rescue/bailout/buy-in plan represents the largest transfer ever of wealth from the working class to the private sector.

If 1 or 2 years from now this 'plan' fails to create the results they say (remember Iraq?), will we be asked to support a "surge", and if so how could we say no?

But, but, but...the fundamentals of the economy are good!
